Saturday morning started early with puppy socialization. 7:30AM Ryan was up playing with labradoodle puppies while his buddies sleep in. Puppy pens were cleaned and moms are already fed and exercised! Working at a kennel is a lot like working at a Dairy farm. There is no sleeping in time. His buddies that spent the night will roll out of bed around 12PM. Go figure.
By 10AM it is off for a bit of breakfast and back to sled dog pups. We have 2 more days with our 12 sled dog pups and then our job is done and they move on to their real owner. We have had some tough times over the past 6 weeks with so many pups. They were a bit under the weather for a short while as was I so we sturggled together. But we all came out of it feeling and looking good! These pups will race throughout the US and Canada on some of the top teams! Ryan and I have chose not to take one of the pups. We have enough dogs of our own and Ryan plans to breed his dog Crush. We will have Chocolate F1B pups in the fall!
